About our Chef -- Scott Mattfeld
Scott Mattfeld, owner and chef of Quarry Coffee & Café, is a home town boy. He was raised in Menomonee Falls and is a graduate of Menomonee Falls North High School. Scott combined his long-time passion for art and food, and became a chef.
As an honor-graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, he has worked as an Executive Chef in many high profile companies including Sheraton, Hilton and Radisson hotels winning many professional awards. He has also had the opportunity to manage a French bakery with his uncle in south Florida. Scott also carries the distinct privilege of opening Potawatomi Casino here in Milwaukee as the main kitchen chef.
Adding entrepreneurship to his list of passions, Scott opened Quarry Coffee and Café in Lannon, Wisconsin, in 2006. Later, with the assistance of Cheryl Jose, he started Creative Catering, a unique combination providing the finest quality and service while helping you stay within your catering budget.
Scott counts his three awesome children, Joshua, Thomas Patrick and Katelyn, as God’s blessings. In his spare time, which is limited, Scott likes to help with the Boy Scouts and Men’s Fraternity at Spring Creek Church. He also enjoys playing softball, entertaining, and has enjoyed coaching Little League and wrestling. Scott, an Eagle Scout, also enjoys the outdoors, camping and backpacking.
About our Barista - Cheryl Jose
Partner, Cheryl Jose, joined the Quarry Coffee & Café in March, 2007. Cheryl’s love for coffee and people has allowed her to use her talents to make a coffee experience the best possible. Cheryl and her husband, Donald, have three children. In her spare time, she enjoys biking, walking, participating in water activities, reading and spending time with her family.
